Come join with others in a day of workshops, networking, spirituality and Reiki energy.

This event is open to all those who have experience of Reiki energy at any level
and have an interest in intuition development on their own personal healing path.

The program will include:

• “Creating Sacred Space”
  Transforming personal and environmental toxins with Reiki & Shamanic Rituals. Hazel Walker and Lisa Hartt-Spillane facilitate exercises & a guided sonic & visual meditation using Shamanic tools and Reiki principles to heal Gaia and all sentient beings.

• Reconnection with Spirit and the Earth.

• Shamanic Journeying for the new consciousness.

• Join the Reiki Circle

• Learn new practice techniques,

• Visit the Market Place (table space available for small fee for those attending the event)

• Amethyst Bio Mat

• Networking table and CRA information

There is an ongoing need for ‘professional’ development amongst Reiki students,
Practitioners and Teachers. The opportunity to share and get together,
outside of our own practices and Reiki shares, to learn from each other
as a larger community, and spread much needed love in the world.

Stephanie Cookson is a Holistic Practitioner, Teacher in Usui Reiki, Sekhem and Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki (SSR). She is certified in cranio sacral therapy, Heart Resonance Therapy has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Registered Nurse in the UK. She is a Registered Teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association.

Stephanie has a 19 year background in mental health, group and individual therapies, leadership and management and education and training. She has worked in a range of settings including the National Health Service, academic institutions and holistic treatment centre.  Stephanie moved to Canada in 2005 and is the owner of Transense Healing Arts at Bloor and Spadina, downtown Toronto. She provides treatment sessions, Reiki classes, Practitioner development, workshops and events, Reiki Gatherings and Retreats. She sells products including Reiki books, CDs, crystals, meditation cards, singing bowls.

Lisa Hartt (lisahartt87@hotmail.com) has been a Singer Songwriter & sound maker for over 45 years. She is actively pursuing a career as a Sound Practitioner graduating shortly from an intense two year study program “Sound as Soulwork” taught and pioneered by Gary Diggins.  Lisa also studies improvisation with Rhiannon (Bobby Mcferrin’s Voicestra) learning more about bringing the gift of vocal freedom to the world. In her practice, Lisa combines Reiki (Level II) with Sound work for an energetic sonic bath balancing the Chakras and creating deeply felt experiences.

Hazel Walker (www.hazelsings.com) is a Soundwork Practitioner, accomplished Jazz Vocalist/Musician, Vocal Coach, and Reiki Therapist. She has a Reiki practice and studio, which offers private and group voice lessons, and soundwork sessions. Hazel also assists those with life-threatening illnesses, palliative care patients, and their loved ones. She is a member of the “Sound, Breath and Energy” Group and is currently studying psycho-spiritual counseling. Hazel also studies with Gary Diggins, Toronto Sound Source.

This event is open to all Reiki Students, Practitioners, Master/Teachers and also those who have experience of Reiki energy work and are on their own personal healing path. 

The day counts towards Canadian Reiki Association membership hours for students. Forms will be available on the day.

Getting there:
By car: From QEW or Don Valley Parkway take Gardiner Expressway, Spadina exit. Take Spadina north to Front Street and turn right. Take Front Street to John Street and turn left. Take John Street to Wellington Street and turn left. Hotel will be one block down on the left.
Parking: there are many lots within a very short walk e.g. on Wellington just west of the hotel, Windsor or Blue Jay Way (streets adjacent to the hotel). 

By transit (TTC): Exit at St. Andrew subway stop (University line); then 5 minute walk west along King to John, south 1 block to Wellington; or by King street car to John and 1 block south.

2010 Spring Reiki Gathering

'Expanding Your Intuition and Distance Healing'

was a great day of learning to awaken and expand our gifts of intuition and long distance healing, of meeting our guides, of enhancing our relationships through intuition, and of sharing energy for personal healing through the Reiki circle.

The Reiki Gatherings are held Spring and Fall every year.

sitting, standing and walking with the Mitzvah technique,

The day was a wonderful day of learning and reflection on the 'Wisdom of the Earth',
and the teachings and healings of nature through trees, animals, birds and crystals.

Catherine Bastedo spoke on the meaning of archetypes and animal and bird totems in our lives, what Holographic Reiki is and how it helps us better understand ourselves. cbastedo@visionreiki.com 819 778 2590 www.visionreiki.com	Stephanie led us through opening and closing meditations, welcomed Spring, and talked about the lessons we learn from the Wisdom of Trees, the cycles of the earth and spirit.

FALL REIKI GATHERING 2008 - 'JUST FOR TODAY'

The Fall Reiki Gathering (Oct 26th 2008)
 was a fabulous day focusing of the Reiki Principles
through reflection, Buddhist teachings, sound work and lots of energy!

The day focused on the 5 Reiki Principles, their meaning and how to embrace
them more fully in our lives in mindfulness, managing emotions,
gratitude, focus, allowance and kindness.

Marsha Stonehouse presented a  workshop...   'Now is the Time': Buddhist teachings and practices to deepen the experience of the 5 Reiki Principles in everyday life.

Stephanie gave an introduction to the Reiki Principles, their history and an interpretation of their meaning in relation to Reiki practice and our lives.

Kyo dake wa  
The Reiki principles were chanted in Japanese and each principle was explored through sonic rituals and therapeutic soundscapes as presented by sound practitioners Hazel Walker and Lisa Hartt. Participants could embody Reiki and learn sound work as a receiver or an interactive participant using world instruments and voices.

The day flowed easily because of obviously great planning
It was a very meaningful day and I feel more connected with the Reiki energy from the experience
I felt the "Reiki Spring Gathering" was a wonderful experience. The energy was alive and continued for a few days after.
The yoga was something that was really wonderful. Even the next day I found myself standing, walking and sitting taller.
I will definitely be telling people what a great day it was. It is just wonderful to be with other reiki practitioners and learn what they are doing.

FALL REIKI GATHERING 2007 - 'A CELEBRATION OF LOVE'

As Reiki Students, Practitioners and Teachers, we need to be with each other:  

• to share and learn from our growth and experiences,
• to hold a common understanding,
• to develop our practice and maintain best practice standards,
• to take care of ourselves,
• to learn as the world and energy consciousness changes
• and to celebrate.

A Celebration of Love, the first Fall Reiki Gathering, in October 07,  created a new space for doing just this. Those interested in Reiki, Reiki Students, Practitioners and Master/Teachers had a fabulous day, getting to know each other, exploring Reiki, getting to know ourselves a little better and having some fun!

The day flowed. Energy flowed. The love was so fully present.  

From so many moments, key highlights from the day included:

• Meditations, opening and closing ceremonies and the flow of energy through out the day. 
  There was so much love.  

• Sharing of Reiki stories and creation of a Reiki Story wall for reading throughout the day. 

• Sharing experiences with group questions and answers, about Reiki,
  energy work, understanding attunements……

• The personal and moving account of survival and wellness innovation
  with lessons from mother nature for living our lives in health and happiness from Leslie Bridger.

• The hugest Reiki Circle and Reiki exercises. Sending energy to our personal intentions
  was facilitated by Diane Young. The energy goes on and on and on as we manifest our desires.    

• Experiencing Sekhem energy in the room and exploring our path in understanding
  energy vibration, connection and different techniques with Stephanie Cookson.  

• A personal account of overcoming brain tumor and surgery and an exploration of our masculine/feminine balance, with Ingrid Splettstoesser complete with costume of half suit and tie and half dress.
  A wonderful group vescia pisces.     

• A great Market place with selection of Reiki books, music, statues, jewellery, singing bowls,
  meditation cards, Networking table and CRA membership information.

• Voice and rhythm workshop and celebration with Deb and Corrie of Joyful Resistance. 
  The energy, freedom and love in the room was unstoppable. Everyone was playing,
  singing, dancing, doing something! It was impossible to keep still

• Meeting new friends and huge hugs.

Everyone joined in, everyone had their own special moment, a personal journey, a group community, a being together with Spirit.  Thank you to everyone for your love and sharing. Thank you to Spirit and Reiki for our common sharing in your transformational love.
